Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping team within a hotel environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role is pivotal in enhancing the overall guest experience through effective management of housekeeping services.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
• Train new housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules to optimise productivity while ensuring high standards are met consistently.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery throughout the hotel.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a hotel or hospitality setting is essential.
• Strong background in janitorial services, with an understanding of cleaning techniques and products used in the industry.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Ability to lead by example, motivating team members to achieve their best performance.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required by hotel operations.
